These are 2 videos about the organization that we currently use to plant a tree. This is who gets called up every time that you place an order with us. We love the owner of this organization. He's like that warm, fuzzy grandpa type. I've spoken to him on the phone personally and he seems very sincere. They travel the world planting trees. They have planted millions so far and continue today. To date, they have planted over 400 trees in our name. I heard talk recently that they will be filing a documentary about "trees for the future." I hope so. In the future, I plan on going out with them personally. Right now, I have to remain where I am in order to get "Spicy" where it needs to be. But, planting trees is not just a gimmick or a marketing tool for me. I've always felt a deep connection to trees. I feel that it would be wrong to not plant a tree with every purchase considering how much paper and Co2 is used when shipping these funny girl's t shirts to you. But, trees for the future doesn't just plant trees. They effect lives and make them better. They work in several countries but let's just use Ethiopia for example. In Ethiopia, they have a program that has recently grabbed the attention of the president of Ethiopia himself. They have been working in the Guraghe Zone in Ethiopia. By 2009, they will have planted a total of more than 10 million trees together with locals. This is an extremely poor community. And, these trees will actually supply them with jobs that will supplement the local income by an estimated $1,200,000 annually. Many of the people being helped are poor women that sell fuelwood in order to survive. But, the fuelwood that they sell isn't sustainable and as a result, there is massive deforestation. Trees for the future plant sustainable crops that will be able to help these women for years to come. We encourage every company to plant a tree with every purchase. It's not difficult. You can even donate to them directly if you don't feel like buying one of our funny t shirts (but seriously, who wouldn't want one of these : ) ??
